Teacher Bio
Tim Dawdy started his bluegrass musical life with the Karl & Milo Band in 1994. During the Karl & Milo years, he received his basic bluegrass training from Karl Van Andle, Milo Macintosh, and Professor Roy Thorp. The popular northwest group disbanded in 2002, after the untimely death of lead singer Milo Macintosh. Tim joined the Pacific Crest Pioneer Band in 2003 http://pcpb.ridgefieldwash.com/ and played autoharp and dobro. he also sang, and was the front-man for the group. The band disbanded in 2005. In 2007 Tim played with Steer Crazy, The Northwests Worst Cowboy Comedy Band. In 2008 also played steel guitar with Countryside Ride. The hardest working Fire Chief in Show Business! A native Oregonian, he joined 2 Licks 2 Many in 2009 www.myspace.com/2licks2many. He plays dobro, occasionally sings. Tim is often noted for his irreverent love of music and humor, and appears regularly on the bluegrass police "Ten Most Wanted List" for mixing musical styles and laughing about it. Tim has studied Dobro with Stacy Phillips, Michael Witcher, Don Rook, Mike Neer , Orville Johnson and Phil Leadbetter. I've also studied Steel Guitar with Joe Wright, Bobby Black and Larry Behm. My favorite quote: "Don't ask me to sing! I just want to play my Dobro". Today Tim is a very serious Dobro and Steel Guitar player. He is available for beginning and intermediate Dobro instruction.
